All about the 2023 ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup

So here we are in 2023, hosting the ICC’s Men’s Cricket World Cup in India after 12 years. It will be the first men’s Cricket World Cup to be hosted solely by India, who with other countries on the Indian Subcontinent had co-hosted the event in 1987, 1996, and 2011. The tournament will take place in ten different stadiums. The first and second semi-finals will be held at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai and Eden Gardens in Kolkata respectively, while the final will take place at Narendra Modi Stadium, in Ahmedabad.

ICC World Cup 2023 Team List

As per ICC World Cup 2023 Schedule, matches are going to start from 5th October 2023 and Finals will be played on 19th November 2023. There are various teams such as Australia, England, Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, New Zealand, South Africa, Netherlands which will

play the World Cup to win the Title. Qualifiers are already over and the above-mentioned teams have qualified to play the Tournament.

The qualifiers are done and 10 teams are qualified to fight for the title of WC ’23.

Format of ICC’s 2023 Cricket World Cup

The first stage of the ODI tournament will be a round-robin format where all teams will play each other once, resulting in 45 matches. The first phase will conclude on November 12 with a match between India and Netherlands in Bengaluru.

The top four teams at the end of the round-robin stage will qualify for the semifinals. The teams finishing first and fourth will play the first semifinal on November 15 in Mumbai, while the second and third teams will meet in the second semifinal on November 16 in Kolkata
